In the Game - Set up your avatar to get started!
Your avatar is the small picture that appears next to your name on the Community. To upload your avatar, follow these directions: Getting Started: Uploading a profile photo and choosing your avatar. If you already have an avatar set up but don't have the badge, reupload your avatar or change it to a new one if you like.
Groupie - Join a group of interest to you. Be the groupie you have always wanted to be.
Go to Social Groups and Clubs and join a club to earn this badge.
Brown Noser - Follow an influential user to get important updates.
Add someone as a friend or accept a friend request. To add someone, hover over their name/avatar and click add OR click their name/avatar which takes you to their profile and click add at the top right. To accept a friend request, go to your Actions tab and press accept, reject, or ignore.
Your Opinion Counts - Everyone cares what you have to say (well, maybe not EVERYONE). Go Like something for the first time.
A comment, discussion, blog post, video, document, poll, etc... can be liked by clicking the "like" button. How can I like or rate content on the community?
Vote for Pedro - What's not to like about Pedro? Go vote on your first poll.
To find polls, go to community.pennfoster.edu/content. In the Content tab, select the Polls option, icon has the three bars. Find a poll you would like to vote on and vote.
Knowledge is Power - Go read some questions, and mark one as correct or helpful to earn this reward.
Answering Questions & Choosing Correct & Helpful Answers
Judgmental Judy - Be the judge and rate something.
Blog posts, discussions, documents, events, and videos can be rated at the end of the content item. Look for the sets of stars and make a rating. How can I like or rate content on the community?
Forget-me-not - Bookmark your favorite pages. Do it now, before you forget.

411 - Update your status, so everyone knows what you are up to.
Tell your Penn Pals how your day went, what you're currently studying, the grade of your last exam, motivating quotes, and more. Read this document to learn how to update your status. How can I update my status? This badge can be earned more than once.
You're It! - Tag...you're it. Tag a discussion to progress.
When making a new discussion or other content item, you have the option of creating tags near the end of the post. Tag what is relevant to your post to make it easier for others to find your post when they use the search bar.
Teacher's Pet - An instructor can grant this badge to an extra helpful student!
Only instructors can award you this badge so be very helpful in your academic group.
Pollster - You voted on a poll, but can you create your own? Create your first poll to unlock this reward.
To create a poll, click on the Create button at the top of the website, select Poll, choose where you want your poll to show up, and fill out your poll. This badge can be earned more than once.
Soap Box - Get on your soap box and make your first blog post.

Know-it-All - You know the answer...answer your first question to advance.
When your answer is marked as correct, you earn 10 points. This badge can be earned more than once.
Helper - Be the recipient of a helpful, and gain this coveted reward.
When your answer is marked as helpful, you earn 5 points. This badge can be earned more than once.
Dr. Popular - Get someone to like your status update to become Dr. Popular.
When someone likes your status update, you will receive the badge. To write a status, check this link out: Getting Started: Updating your Status. This badge can be earned more than once.
Sharing is Caring - Share 5 status updates.
The best way to find statuses is to go to your Activity stream and select Status Updates Only. Find a status you want to share, hover over it, a share button should appear. Or you can click on the time the status was posted for more options besides sharing. Be sure you have at least one friend to share the status with, you won't be allowed to share the status with non-friends. To earn the badge, you need to share five statuses. You can share the same status five times or five different statuses. You can share a status with one person or as many people you want. This badge can be earned more than once.
Read & Rate - Read and rate 3 documents.
To find documents, go to community.pennfoster.edu/content. In the Content tab select the Documents option. Click any document you feel like reading then rate it at the bottom. Remember to rate three documents. How can I like or rate content on the community?
Influencer - Get followed by 5 people.
Add five people as friends or accept five friend requests. To add someone, hover over their name/avatar and click add OR click their name/avatar which takes you to their profile and click add at the top right. To accept a friend request, go to your Actions tab and press accept, reject, or ignore.
Indestructible - Have 5 of your comments liked to prove that they are indestructible.
Reply to posts and hope others like five of your comments.
Champion - Get a correct answer and a helpful answer.
Earn this badge by answering questions on multiple posts. The owner of the discussion or an admin can reward you with both a helpful and correct answer on the discussion. This badge can be earned more than once.
Admit One - Login 10 times over 30 days.
Log onto the Community 10 times over a 30 day time period, give or take. This badge can be earned more than once.
10111101 - Have your binary upload downloaded twice.
Upload a Word document or PowerPoint and have students download it. Works best if the document is a helpful study tool.
That's the Ticket - Log in 50 times.
Once you log into the Community 50 times, you'll earn this badge.
Tell the World - Write 5 blog posts.

Question discussions are the posts that are marked as questions. When you create a discussion you have the choice to mark it as a question. A regular discussion has the white speech bubble. An unanswered question discussion has a blue speech bubble with a question mark in the middle. An answered question discussion has a green speech bubble with a check mark in the middle. Comment on 10 question discussion posts or make your own 10 question discussions. The best way to complete this is by looking for discussions with the blue speech bubble in your academic group. Archivist - Add 500 tags.
When making a new discussion or other content item, you have the option of creating tags near the end of the post. Tag what is relevant to your post to make it easier for others to find your post when they use the search bar. When completing the other tag badges, the tags add up. Keep tagging your content items to get to 500 tags.
