I started on my first project....

I started on my first project, the monogrammed pendant (Finally! After kid's father got the bench pin set up for me), and I am rather enjoying it.  It did not take me very long to figure out how to work out the saw.  Limp hand and letting the blades feed itself.  My biggest issue is, the blades keep jamming themselves and I have to wiggle it loose with often fears that the blades will snap and break.  I follow the instructions, and yet it still jams.  Any ideas and suggestions to keep the blades from jamming where I have to constantly wiggle it loose?  Also when I hold the metal down, I notice when I put pressure on the metal to keep it from bouncing and moving when I'm sawing that my arm gets tense and sore after just 2 minutes.  Any suggestions on how to ease that tension?  Other than that, I am actually enjoying it.  I do have a dremel tool with a cutting thingy included (Got a kit for it.  110 pieces for 20 dollars.  Its got a buffer, sander, cutting, engraving, I actually like it, figured it'd help with the metal working)  Does anyone know if the cutting part of the dremel tool will work better than a saw blade?
