Back to school is here and that means us too!! Anyone with children knows this is the happiest time for the year LOL!!
As a Penn Foster Ambassador I just wanted to share a few things I do now that makes managing my program easier.
1. Always have a "To Do List"
Take your program and make a list of everything you have to do to complete each class. By doing this and checking things off you will see your success and see that you are constantly making progress. It also helps to give you a starting point when you don't know where to begin.
2. Make your weekly/monthly goals clear
Decide how fast/slow you want to complete your semester. Look at your personal schedule and plug things in where they fit according to your life. By putting dates on assignments and scheduling things you are creating accountability and that will help keep your on track.
3. Commit to reading/studying at least an hour a day
So many times we put things off to tomorrow. I know there are plenty of times where I don't feel like reading or studying. Commit to doing it anyway. It's just like exercise. You have to do something every day to achieve the goals you've set.
4. Don't beat yourself up over set backs
With a husband, 2 kids, a sick mom, volunteer work and a household to maintain, trust me, I have been there where you feel like you are spinning your wheels and just CANNOT move forward. Don't beat yourself up. Penn Foster is awesome. You complete your program and your pace. If you are stuck in a rut, don't get discouraged. You can do this! We are have set backs. You can overcome and get back on track!
5. Don't get overwhelmed
Life happens and sometimes you just can't get focused with so much happening. It's ok! As long as you stay committed and celebrate the success you've accomplished in your program!
Best of luck in your studies and remember the community is always here to help!
