So I kid you not, a client came in with his canine patient 3 days ago for a regular vaccine appt. I will name the guy Bob and his dog Fido. Today I received a phone call because Bob believed that Fido was having a vaccine reaction, concerned I prompted for more information. Fido had been having loose stool and had vomited a frothy white cream since his appt. Activity eating and drinking were all also down. While scheduling Bob a recheck exam for the same day, Bob also told me that due to the Doctor's recommendations he stopped giving Fido espressos everyday. He had "cut him off cold turkey!" He also explained that "I know what with drawls look like and i can't help but wonder if Fido is going through with drawls."
When he came into the appt, he was right Fido was not doing all that hot. It happened to be because Bob had replaced Fido's coffee addiction with a glass of whole milk... Explains the frothy vomit. We gave Bob yet another handout of what to and not to feed your pet. Wished them both luck and I am sure I will hear from him again soon.
