I am part of the Worship/Praise Band at my church, and have the blessing of helping to lead worship (vocally) for the 3rd time (since I became a part of this wonderful team) this upcoming Sunday. I see it as one of highest honors to help lead the congregation in the time of worship through song. It truly humbles me each and every week that the LORD would allow me to take part in something so wonderful. I don't have any formal training, nor am I as "talented" as some, but the LORD has gifted me with what vocal abilities I do have, as well as the ability to memorize lyrics somewhat easily. I find it rather interesting that I am not a HUGE fan of public speaking, but put me on stage to sing in worship and even for fun and my nerves at far far less.
The part of the team who I will be working with to usher in The Kingdom on Sunday, met tonight to practice the songs that I will be singing. After what was a productive and fun time of fellowship and practice, I could not be more excited about worship on Sunday. I am so blessed by the members of this wonderful team and that we get to usher in God's presence together. I am so thankful for this incredible opportunity.
