I am a full time employee and a part - time / full time student. I work from 8:00am to 4:30pm. After work I try my best to study but it is not that simple. I have a nephew and a niece that lives with me, ages 6 and 4 respectively. When I return home they become like magnets to me so studying is put in the back seat. I don't go out much as I have a bone disease and walking is not something that I can a lot of due to the pain. Due to my disease balancing school, work and the little life I have is quite the challenge.
So here is what I have started doing:-
- Get up in the morning and thank the LORD for gracing me with yet another day on this wonderful earth. - 7 days per week
- Get to work for 8:00am - Monday to Friday
- If there is a bit of free time during work and I am not too stressed, I do some research for school and spend some time on the community. I do my best to spend at least one hour per week on the community and help someone, even if for that week I don't get to study. If I have alot pain, I watch a show to help me take my mind off of it.
- At 4:30pm work is done and it is time to leave. I stay back and start reading my textbook (avoid the little ones )
- Leave work between 7:00pm - 9:00pm and go home after studying.
_ Upon my return home, I spend a little time with my family (the magnets ) and then head to bed.
- I have devoted Saturday and Sunday to spending time with my boyfriend. He works on Saturday (approximately up to half day most times, sometime later). Sundays are our days to hang out and play games and watch shows.
Monday I begin the routine all over again.
I am now thinking of pushing in a bit of studies on Saturday while he works.
Summary: How I balance it all?
